Mayor Roderick Awingan, alongside MDRRMO Yoshio Labi, met with Benguet Governor Melchor Diclas this afternoon to address the municipalityโ€™s growing solid waste management concerns. In a favorable response, Governor Diclas committed to looking into provincial resources to assist in hauling the townโ€™s waste to Urdaneta City. Additionally, the Governor pledged to consider granting funds for the purchase of a new garbage truck to boost the municipality's collection capacity.

โ€‹Mayor Awingan lauded the Governor's supportive gesture, expressing optimism that the provincial assistance will significantly aid the local government unit. The collaboration marks a critical step forward in improving waste disposal efficiency and ensuring the environmental well-being of the community.
