Highlighting the administration’s commitment to public order and commuter security, Mayor Roderick Awingan personally inspected a new batch of traffic signage this afternoon, prepared by the Public Order and Safety Team (POST) for immediate deployment.
The initiative aims to enhance motorist guidance and pedestrian safety by installing high-visibility markers in strategic locations along the municipality’s major highways. The placement of these signs is part of a broader effort to streamline traffic flow and reduce road-related incidents within the valley.
Mayor Awingan noted that while the initial supply is focused on high-priority areas, the improvement of road infrastructure remains a cornerstone of the municipal agenda.
“Our goal is to ensure that every resident and visitor can navigate our roads safely,” the Mayor stated. “Improving our road assets and maintaining public order is a continuous priority for this administration.”
To ensure a comprehensive approach to road safety, the Municipal Government of La Trinidad has formalized coordination with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). This partnership will facilitate the installation of additional standard signages across national roads, ensuring that even high-traffic corridors are equipped with clear, compliant, and effective markers.
The installation by the POST team is expected to commence in the coming days, targeting key intersections and pedestrian crossings to provide immediate relief to traffic bottlenecks and safety concerns.
