Kicking off the pre-implementation of the JobStart Philippines, the La Trinidad Municipal Government, through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), officially conducted the Employer’s Engagement Forum.

The event served as a platform to orient local business leaders and representatives about the program, specifically on their roles and responsibilities as partner employers in providing technical training and internships, ensuring the youth’s seamless school-to-work transition.

"With the participation of the private sector, we are not just providing jobs; we are building careers and ensuring that La Trinidad remains a hub of skilled and reliable labor," said Mayor Roderick C. Awingan, emphasizing that collaboration between the local government and the private sector remains vital in ensuring that no worker is left behind.

The forum saw a turnout of 13 prominent employers from diverse sectors in education, finance, retail, and the service industry:

• Epiphany Christian Academy of La Trinidad, Inc.;

• HC Consumer Finance Philippines Inc.;

• Valley Bread Inc.;

• Julies Bakeshop;

• Touche Café;

• Giant Arches Food Corporation (McDonald’s Baguio-Benguet);

• Dap-ayan Food Corporation;

• Sanford Marketing Corporation;

• Granville Supplychain Management Corporation;

• Gracious Salon;

• Santiago’s Mexican Restaurant;

• Donna Dolce Dente Corp (Goldilocks)
