Moving forward with efforts to enhance local logistics and emergency response, Mayor Roderick Awingan, alongside MDRRMO Yoshio Labi, met with Benguet State University (BSU) President Dr. Kenneth Laruan. The meeting served to follow up on the status of a vital municipal request for the establishment of a joint-use warehouse facility. Designed to serve the shared operational needs of both the local government unit (LGU) and the university, the proposed infrastructure aims to streamline resource management and disaster preparedness for both stakeholders.
โDr. Laruan responded positively to the request, actively identifying several potential locations within university property that could host the facility. To determine the most practical and accessible spot, both sides have agreed to conduct a joint ocular inspection of the proposed sites in the coming days. Mayor Awingan welcomed the university's support, noting that this partnership marks a crucial step toward building shared infrastructure that directly benefits both the campus and the wider La Trinidad community.
