𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐔𝐩𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

After a year of livelihood development capacitation, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), DTI Baguio-Benguet, LGU La Trinidad and officials of Barangay Beckel formally turned over newly procured heavy duty coffee roasting machine, pulpers and hullers to the Beckel Arabica Coffee Growers Association (BACoGA) last month.

The turnover ceremony marked the culmination of months of knowledge transfer, skills development and equipment procurement.

Representatives from each partner agency delivered a message highlighting the importance of supporting community based enterprises.

Municipal Mayor Roderick C. Awingan, Municipal Administrator Atty. Franco G. Bawang Jr., DTI Baguio-Benguet, Layad Di Kordilyera, Office of Municipal Agriculturist and National Office of NGCP attended the turnover to show their support to the coffee growers of Beckel.

During the event, BACoGA President Mercedes Capas expressed her gratitude to the partner agencies for the equipment that can significantly elevate the quality of the association’s roasted coffee bean production.
