Researchers from the University of Twente, Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) in the Netherlands coordinated with the municipality of La Trinidad, Benguet led by Mayor Roderick C. Awingan to conduct their study on โPublic engagement and communication of geothermal energyโ. The team, who met with the mayor today, is composed of researchers led by Sandra Samantela (4th from l) for her PhD thesis and Adviser Heather Handley (middle), accompanied by research staff Bing Janer (2nd from l) and Jan Ceralde (5th from l). The research project is part of the EarthSafe program funded by the Horizon Europe MSCA (Marie Skลodowska-Curie Actions) Doctoral Network.
