Mayor Roderick Awingan, extends his deepest gratitude to the Department of Labor and Employment - Cordillera Administrative Region (DOLE-CAR), led by Regional Director Imelda E. Romanillos, CESO IV, for their unwavering support and the rollout of impactful socio-economic programs for our . Through this strong and active partnership, various sectors in La Trinidad are set to receive massive livelihood and emergency employment opportunities this coming June.
Among the key initiatives is the Tulong Pasada Program, a livelihood support initiative for the transport sector which will benefit 15 drivers from the Km. 5 Pico Motorpool and another 15 members from the Baguio-Camp Dangwa BATJODA. Additionally, 30 individuals will be empowered with sustainable entrepreneurial opportunities under the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP).
A massive wave of employment support is also arriving through the TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) program, which will benefit 585 local farmers alongside an additional 800 beneficiaries under the TUPAD Emergency Community Program (ECP). To ensure safety goes hand-in-hand with development, DOLE-CAR will also conduct a Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) training to equip our LGU personnel with essential health and safety protocols to serve the public better and safer.
Mayor Awingan expressed that these programs are absolutely vital in sustaining and strengthening the economic resilience of our local farmers, drivers, and workforce. Agyaman kami la unay, DOLE-CAR!
