Over 100 uniformed personnel gathered to officially launch the 31st Police Community Relations (PCR) Month celebration with the theme, β€œSa Bagong Pilipinas, Ugnayang Pulis at Mamamayan: Tapat, Maaasahan, at Nararamdaman ng Bayan” yesterday, July 6, at the municipal gymnasium.

The month-long campaign aims to cultivate deeper bonds with the community, combating misinformation toward law enforcement while uplifting their image as approachable partners in public safety.

Reverends John Fianza, Sam Galino, and Roland Tiongco led a unity prayer for various sectors symbolizing the shared commitment to public service.

In his message, Police Chief PLtCol. Zacarias Caloy Dausen stressed that a robust partnership between the police force, local government unit, and the community is the foundation of peace in La Trinidad.

He further cited Municipal Ordinance No. 8-2017, the policy that formalizes the PCR celebration in the municipality, as proof of the town’s multisectoral ties.

Supporting this sentiment, Acting Mayor Atty. Guiller Galwan shared that a prime indicator of progress and development is felt through sustained orderliness and peacefulness.

Board Member Romeo Salda, former Municipal Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (MAGPTD) Chairperson attended the kick-off and acknowledged the crucial presence of fellow uniformed personnel from the BJMP and BFP.

Meanwhile, Councilors Horacio Ramos Jr. and Tyrone Diaz were also present to express the Sangguniang Bayan’s solidarity with the program.

Joining the event were members from the La Trinidad Women’s Brigade, Philippine ANAHAW Force Multiplier Volunteer Society Inc., Cordillera Comprehensive Action Team, and barangay officials representing Betag, Ambiong, and Puguis.
