The 16 barangay councils and staff of La Trinidad gathered for a night of dancing and singing– cowboy style last March 25 during the annual Barangay Night at the municipal gym as part of the Strawberry Festival.
Mayor Roderick Awingan, Vice Mayor Guiller Galwan, and the rest of the Sangguniang Bayan members attended in full support of the event.
KM Partylist Representative, Congressman Kenneth Paolo Tereng, made a special appearance advocating for the well-being of the barangays.
Benguet Vice Governor Marie Rose Fongwan-Kepes, Board Members Romeo Salda, Armando Lauro, Jim Botiwey, and Lady Charmaine Molintas-Likigan also took to the dance floor as they presented their version of the line dance.
Securing the top spot is Wangal with an average total score of 94.67%, bringing home a cash prize of ₱20,000.
Following closely behind is Betag, scoring 94%, and was awarded ₱15,000, while Pico reached the podium with a 93.67% score, receiving ₱10,000.
As for the special awards, Alapang Punong Barangay, Paul Bacuso, dazzled as the Star of the Night, while Jessica Laus and Joshua Corpuz outshone everyone as Best Dressed.
Katelyn Siloy and Pluto Ponciano impressed the judges with their footwork as Best Dancers.
All other barangays received cash prizes worth ₱5,000.
