𝗟𝗚𝗨, 𝗕𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗟 𝗔𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗢 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗦

Twelve local businesses entered into a formal agreement with the municipal government on July 20 at the Lednicky Hall to provide discounts to qualified solo parents.

The agreement covers both goods and services in support of the overall well-being of both single parents and their dependent children.

While Municipal Ordinance 4-2025 mandated a 10% discount on basic needs such as milk, supplements, and sanitary diapers for children 6 years old and below, this new partnership is now open to include other interested businesses.

Local data also shows that several establishments are willing to provide reduced prices on selected commodities and services.

Mayor Roderick Awingan welcomed representatives from the following businesses:

• Calajo Foodhouse (20% discount)

• HEALTH 101 Restoreant (20% discount)

• Shairolyn Sari-sari Store (5% discount)

• Wilz Sari-sari Store (5% discount)

• Health Med Pharmacy (5% discount)

• KT-Two Trading (10% discount)

• Pempee Body and Foot Massage Services - employment opportunity for solo parents

• Babsky Wellness Spa (10% discount)

• TMBBY Wellness Spa (10% discount)

• Polikaw Wellness Spa - employment opportunity for solo parents

• SHADI Fitness Gym (20% discount)

• ADIVAYAN Stream Swimming Pool Rental (5% discount)

“This is only the beginning of a promising collaboration, and we congratulate the establishments for being role models of the community,” affirmed Awingan.

In return, the LGU will promote and advertise business partners through the official social media platforms.

Councilors Teddy Walang and Bartolome Baldas Jr. authored the legislation that provides social welfare benefits and privileges to solo parents in the capital town.
