Earlier today, the Municipal Local Government Unit of La Trinidad gathered at the Municipal Hall for our regular First Friday Mass, a tradition that allows us to pause, reflect, and offer our month’s work to the Almighty.

This month’s Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Father Vic Munar and was proudly sponsored by the Mayor’s Office.

During his homily, Father Vic shared a profound and timely reflection on the nature of our "crosses." He reminded us that each of us carries our own burdens, challenges in our personal lives, the weight of our responsibilities, and the trials of public service. However, he emphasized that we should not be discouraged. Instead, we are called to carry these crosses with the same perseverance and faith that Jesus showed on His way to Calvary.

For us in the LGU, this serves as a reminder that the "burden" of service is a shared journey. When we encounter difficulties in serving our constituents, we carry them not with bitterness, but with the strength of Christ, knowing that our sacrifices are for a higher purpose.

The Mayor’s Office extends its gratitude to Father Vic Munar for his spiritual guidance and to all the LGU employees and constituents who joined us in prayer today.

As we begin this new month, let us walk together carrying our crosses with dignity and serving the people of La Trinidad with renewed hearts.

β€œThen Jesus said to his disciples, β€˜Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.’” (Matthew 16:24)
