Municipal Mayor Roderick C. Awingan participated in the Workshop on Balili Rehabilitation and Monitoring, where stakeholders and partner agencies gathered to strengthen collaborative strategies for the protection and recovery of the Balili River.

During the activity, the Mayor underscored the importance of unity and shared responsibility in addressing environmental concerns that affect multiple communities.

β€œNo single town can save a river on its own. This unified front marks a turning point where cooperation, not just local policy, becomes the primary tool for environmental restoration,” Mayor Awingan emphasized.

The workshop highlighted the need for sustained coordination, science-based approaches, and long-term commitment among local government units and environmental partners to ensure the river’s rehabilitation efforts remain effective and impactful.

The Municipal Government of La Trinidad continues to support initiatives that promote environmental stewardship, ecological sustainability, and collective action for the benefit of present and future generations.
