College student-athlete Shauran Lou Jerry Kiblasan together with coach and instructor Bonifacio Palitayan Bibal paid a visit to Mayor Roderick C. Awingan today to present his silver medal which he won in the 58 kg college male category of the 62nd National Sikaran Tournament, organized by the World Sikaran Brotherhood of the Philippines, on June 12 to 13 at Baras gymnasium in Baras, Rizal province.
The mayor said the municipality will continue to support student-athletes in any way that it can. Sikaran is an intense Filipino Martial Art game which mostly involves the foot and originated from the town of Baras, Rizal.
