Mayor Roderick Awingan inducted the pioneer group of representatives for the Municipal Council of Women during this morning’s flag-raising ceremonies, July 20, at the municipal grounds.

Seeking to lobby women’s concerns and conduct gender-based research for policy formulation, the members of the board are:

• Chairperson: Felomina Domiciong (Tawang Local Council of Women)

• Vice-Chairperson: Freda Gawisan (Puguis Local Council of Women)

• Secretary: Gemalyn Reyes (Lubas Local Council of Women)

• Treasurer: Miranda Bingcola (Balili Local Council of Women)

• Liaison Officer: Juanita Villena (Wangal - Families Choice for Health and Development)

Members:

• Teresita Wagsi (Bineng Local Council of Women)

• Lea Angeles (Wangal Local Council of Women)

• Heather Domecyas (Pico Local Council of Women)

• Asuncion Anod (Poblacion Local Council of Women)

• Noemi Omaweng (Ambiong Local Council of Women)

• Grace Sebio (Puguis - La Trinidad Micro Enterprise)

• Jocelyn Ringor (Kabenguetan Ladies Circle Inc.)

Vice Mayor Guiller Galwan, alongside Councilors Horacio Ramos Jr, Teddy Walang, Bartolome Baldas Jr., Richard Wacnisen, and Renator Tereng served as witnesses to the momentous event.

Ordinance No. 7-2002 establishes the council and allocates funds for program implementation.
