The Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children (LCAT-VAWC) and the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Council of La Trinidad held their 2nd Quarter Joint Meeting on May 28, 2026, at the Municipal Lednicky Hall to discuss key concerns affecting the welfare and protection of women, children, and families in the municipality.

During the meeting, members reviewed data on reported cases of violence and discussed ways to strengthen prevention, intervention, and support mechanisms at the community level. The council emphasized the need for proactive and coordinated actions among government offices, barangays, and partner agencies to better address emerging concerns and protect vulnerable sectors.

The body also tackled issues affecting local Day Care Centers, including lot documentation and compliance requirements. To address these concerns, the council agreed to pursue coordinated legal, technical, and administrative measures to help facilitate the standardization and improvement of early childhood education facilities.

Through strengthened collaboration and shared commitment, the local government continues to work toward creating safer communities, improving access to quality early childhood education, and ensuring a more responsive support system for the people of La Trinidad.
