The Public Employment and Services Office (PESO) of La Trinidad emerged as a top performer during the 2025 Year-End PESO Assessment in the First Class Municipal Level held on February 3 at the Venus Park View Hotel in Baguio City.
Garnering the Regional Best PESO, the major award of the event, along with four minor awards:
Most Number of Establishment Partnerships, Memberships, and Networking
Best in Labor Market Information
Best in Career Development Support Program (CDSP)
Best in Referral and Placement
The office was also honored as a successful nominee in the 2024 National Search for Best PESO Award.
Elengy Bolidi, PESO Manager, attributed its accomplishments to the officeβs βbest practicesβ, specifically its robust partnerships with technical-vocational schools and private sector companies like Dap-ayan Food Corporation and Granville Supply Chain Management Corporation.
βThese accolades are a testament to the continuous effort in enhancing our employment services,β beamed Mayor Roderick Awingan. He emphasized that multi-sectoral joint efforts remain a pillar of the valleyβs success in bridging residents with sustainable opportunities.
To sustain its momentum, the LGU has allocated β±9M for the 2026 PESO budget, a 29% increase from the previous year.
The municipality of La Trinidad sends its utmost gratitude to the Department of Labor and Employment-CAR for the recognition, as well as to partner agencies, including Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, the Department of Migrant Workers, and the Department of Trade and Industry, for their support in championing the local workforce.
