𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

Mayor Roderick Awingan and Municipal Engineer Benedict Pineda, accompanied by Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Director Atty. Jennilyn Dawayan, recently visited the office of DA Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. to submit documents concerning the Community Business Center. The project has remained unfinished since construction began in 2018.

During the visit, the team also engaged virtually with Chief of Staff Atty. Alvin John Balagbag, who committed to reviewing the submitted documents and determining the appropriate next steps toward the continuation and completion of the project.

The delegation also met with Dr. Gina Nilo, Director of the Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM), to seek technical assistance for key agricultural concerns in the municipality. Among the requests raised was a technical evaluation of the Spring Development Project in Barangay Pico, which was intended to provide irrigation water to strawberry farms but has remained inoperable.

In addition, the municipality requested a hydrogeological study to determine the feasibility of developing groundwater sources as an alternative irrigation system for local strawberry farms. The initiative aims to identify sustainable and reliable water sources that will help strengthen agricultural productivity and support the long-term growth of La Trinidad's farming sector.

Through close coordination with national government agencies, the municipality hopes to advance the completion of these long-delayed projects and identify practical, sustainable solutions to support La Trinidad's agricultural sector.
