In a proactive move to elevate local governance and dispute resolution, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) - La Trinidad, conducted a Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentive Award (LTIA) Pre-assessment Workshop earlier today, February 25, at the Strawberry Valley Hotel and Restaurant.
Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Ma. Teresa Mangangey spearheaded the activity, which served as an avenue for Barangay Secretaries and staff aiming to secure the LTIA recognition.
The workshop was designed to address recurring hurdles faced during annual assessments:
Deepen the understanding of specific performance indicators and the scoring matrix
Enhancing Lupon members' mediation skills to resolve community disputes
Increase the frequency and quality of training for the Katarungang Pambarangay
Move away from last-minute compilations toward a year-round culture of readiness
βThe greatest technique is the art of proper documentation.β Mangangey highlighted during her message. βMastering this technique makes the process seamless for both the assessors and the Barangay Secretaries.β
The pre-assessment workshop also identifies potential contenders who can represent La Trinidad at the provincial, regional, and national levels.
Beyond the awards, the initiative ensures that the residents of La Trinidad continue to benefit from a justice system that is transparent, well-documented, and highly efficient.
