BAC UPSKILLS OFFICES, UNITS ON PROCUREMENT PROCESS

In an effort to capacitate employees, the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) hosted an orientation on the New Government Procurement Act (RA 12009) on June 24-25, 2026.
Aiming to modernize the public bidding system, the event tackled the following topics:
• Proper Scheduling and Timely Conduct of Procurement Activities (BAC Memorandum No. 2026-001)
• Process Flowchart (Direct Acquisition, Small Value, Goods and Services- Competitive Bidding, SVHR Procurement and Emergency Cases)
• Reminders and Updates on current procurement laws
• Technical Specification Writing
• Chart of Accounts for Expenses, Semi-expandable Equipment and Property, Plant and Equipment
• Property Supply Management System
“Taxes are the lifeblood of the LGU and procurement is how they are translated into services,” shared General Services Officer Dwight Daodao in his message, reiterating that employees must be equipped with key competencies to ensure public funds are utilized effectively.
Mayor Roderick Awingan also commended the 79 focal persons of the municipal government for their commitment to community welfare and development.
