BALILI NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH GROUP TAKES OATH

More members of the municipality-led Neighborhood Watch Group takes oath, this time in Barangay Balili on Oct. 19 at the Balili Barangay Hall. Acting Mayor Guiller Galwan administered the oath and assisted by Capt. Rose Golocan of the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station.
Galwan said the presence of the Neighborhood Watch volunteers indicates that they really care for the community, and that their efforts will redound to the benefit of their children and families.
Balili Barangay Captain Billy Bilango said the reactivation of the Neighborhood Watch Group, then called civilian crime watch, is very much needed as well as the involvement of all sectors of the community.
Bilango said the volunteers who took oath came from the different sectors of the barangay—seniors, youth, women, solo parents, drivers association, and farmers among others.
The Neighborhood Watch Group is the police-community partnership, the flagship program of the present administration, which aims to gather volunteers from the different barangays to create a proactive network of citizens that makes sure that their communities are safe.
