BFP-LA TRINIDAD HELPS IN GUISAD, SURONG BAGUIO CITY LANDSLIDE OPERATIONS

Several personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection–La Trinidad were deployed to Baguio City this morning to augment ongoing search, rescue, and retrieval operations following a landslide that buried three houses in Riverside, Guisad Surong, Baguio City in the evening of August 9, 2026.
As of 2 AM of Aug. 11, the Baguio City Public Information Office reported that all of the missing individuals were accounted for, with 10 fatalities and
three individuals rescued alive.
Let us continue to pray for the 20 affected families, the rescue teams deployed, and personnel from the public and private sectors serving the community in these trying times.
