Mayor Roderick Awingan welcomed Tourism and Business Administration student interns from Benguet State University, BVS Colleges, and King’s College of the Philippines earlier this afternoon at the Mayor’s Office.

Set to render around 600-700 hours of service under the Tourism Section, the students have been assigned to teams according to their specific strengths: content creation and video editing, clerical work, and front desk duties.

“The local government is open to your ideas and suggestions, as La Trinidad is fairly new to tourism and aims for sustained growth. We also hope you learn valuable lessons and skills which will help in your future employment,” encouraged Mayor Awingan.

He added that the interns will engage in community development such as clean-up activities, highlighting that environmental responsibility is vital to the valley’s beauty.
