In a star-studded 76th La Trinidad Founding Anniversary, Benguet’s capital town officially conferred Former Mayor Artemio Galwan and Benguet State University (BSU) Football Club with the prestigious Golden Kayabang Award at the municipal gymnasium earlier today, June 16.

Galwan served as Municipal Mayor from 2007 to 2010 and was recognized for his philanthropic efforts through the donation of lands that have supported vital community structures including the Buyagan Public Cemetery, deep-well properties, church sites and access roads in barangays Poblacion and Wangal.

Meanwhile, the BSU Football Club was lauded for its meaningful contributions to sports development, youth empowerment, and community building in the municipality and the Cordillera Region since its establishment in 1987.

Furthermore, the following 35 individuals and organizations with Sangguniang Bayan Resolutions were acknowledged as Special Awardees:
