We welcome with great hearts the opening of the Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel in Sitio Besil, Barangay Shilan for such chapel will provide another higher dimension on the spiritual health of our Catholic loving constituents.

Our world today continues to grapple with the social costs of the complexities of generational upheavals. Prominent of them is that they have compromised the faith of our people. The business of human endeavors has diminished the need to look for the Almighty’s guidance and reduced the need to seek favor from above.

A new church is always a blessing. It can revive, reawaken and strengthen the people’s faith and belief of someone beyond who will always take the cudgels for our struggles and problems.

Indeed, Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel may not have the grandeur of a cathedral but we honor the men and women who were brave and gutsy enough to ensure its put up and completion. We do appreciate the effort to remind and convey our people in the locality that nothing comes better than a house of prayer, a place or worship and an abode of joy and belief.
