CAPITAL TOWN CONCLUDES INAUGURAL WOMEN ENTREP SUMMIT

The municipality of La Trinidad recently concluded the 1st La Trinidad Women Entrepreneurs’ Summit held on December 16, 2025 at the Municipal Gym.


The initiative sought to empower women entrepreneurs by sharing best practices from accomplished figures in the field, such as weaver Rosalina Salifad and restaurant owner Deborah Molitas.


The local government unit also conducted a training needs assessment among the participants. This activity will assist the LGU in its planning and budgeting efforts for the micro, small, and medium enterprises sector.


Honorable Vice Governor Marie Rose Fongwan-Kepes, a strong advocate for MSMEs and livelihood efforts, has inspired entrepreneurs through her dedication to bolstering MSMEs at the provincial level. This accomplished legislator has pledged to continue championing women's empowerment.


In the afternoon, Ms. Janet Lee and Ms. Jedidia Aquino of the Sirnaat Advocacy Cooperative discussed on the Basics of Customer Care and Women Empowerment, respectively.


Meanwhile, Mayor Roderick Awingan and Vice Mayor Guiller Galwan assured their sustained support to the women sector in the locality.


“I am confident that the women of La Trinidad are already empowered. Your resilience and creativity in business play a crucial role in advancing our local economy” said Mayor Awingan.
