As a way of giving back to the community, Mindanaoan country singer Romeo Ogong and his team officially turned over the proceeds from his recently concluded “Concert-for-a-Cause” on March 22 to the municipal government of La Trinidad.


The event raised a total of ₱245,800, after deducting ₱84,300 in operational expenses, leaving a net amount of ₱161,500 available to support 19 selected LGU employees and their immediate families facing medical crises.


With the La Trinidad Municipal Employees Association (LTMEA) officers facilitating, the beneficiaries each received ₱8,500, including:

  • Seven employees undergoing treatment for chronic illnesses and stroke recovery

  • Twelve families requiring assistance for spousal medical care, specialized pediatric services, and elderly parental care


Mayor Roderick Awingan, on behalf of the local government and LTMEA, congratulated Romeo Ogong, The Cowboy Cop and event organizers, Atty. Ivory and Ranjan Wanget for their generosity in extending aid to the town’s medically stricken employees.


Building on this momentum, Ogong disclosed plans for a follow-up event, a combined blood donation alongside a live concert.


Tentatively set for April 17 in Baguio City, the event will be the first of its kind in the Cordillera region.
