COLLAB OF SECTORS FOR LEARNER'S WELFARE
The continuing collaboration and coordination of the different sectors in the community remains to be the effective tool to address learners' welfare particularly on the current issues of bullying, as echoed by the various department heads of the Department of Education-Cordillera led by Director Nicolas Capulong and officials particularly Mayor Roderick Awingan and Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, and Baguio City Police Office led by its Chief Col. Nixon Laoyan during the "3rd Quarter Kapihan sa DepEd-Cordillera" on September 16 at the NEAP Hall in DepEd-Cordillera regional office in Wangal, La Trinidad.
Awingan mentioned the various programs being conducted at the municipality for the youth and children, which often involves the school officials, teachers, parents, police, barangay LGUs and the municipal LGU, and civil society organizations to ensure that learners' rights safety, and welfare are top priority.
