Aiming to provide reliable mobile connectivity, the municipal government unit officially secured a partnership with SMART Communications through the signing of a memorandum of agreement at the Lednicky Hall today, July 28.

Both Mayor Roderick Awingan and Vice Mayor Guiller Galwan, in their messages, expressed their appreciation towards the company in choosing La Trinidad as a beneficiary.

They also welcomed future Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) proposals that will spearhead technological advances in the valley, ultimately uplifting the lives of the community.

In response, First Vice President and Network Build, Operations and Maintenance Group Head Debbie Hu affirmed SMART and PLDT’s support to the municipality.

Officials and heads also inaugurated the Multi-Elements on Wheels (MEOW) cell site stationed at the Km. 5 pay parking area which intends to enhance communication efficiency, public safety, and service delivery.

While the MEOW is temporary, the partner company is in the process of designing a customized and permanent cell site aligned with the LGU’s preferences and requirements.

To show their full support, Councilors Renato Tereng, Nestor Fongwan Jr., Bartolome Baldas Jr., Tyrone Diaz, Horacio Ramos Jr., Teddy Walang, Jayson Dangwa, Jonie Puroc and Richard Wacnisen graced the momentous event.
