The Data and Implementation Sciences for Health (DISH) conducted a benchmarking activity in Benguet on Anti-Smoking Advocacy from April 22–23, 2026. Supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies, the initiative aims to strengthen anti-smoking and anti-vaping efforts through site visits, learning exchanges, and collaboration among local stakeholders.
The activity focused on sharing best practices and enhancing the implementation of tobacco control programs, particularly in the enforcement of local ordinances. It also seeks to improve coordination between health offices and partner organizations toward promoting healthier communities.
The visiting delegation was composed of Conrado M. Braña Jr., John Arlo M. Codilla, Noel M. Fuscablo, Mary Joecylen R. Recla, Vicente Alojado, Lalaine Calonzo, Rudy Mariscal, Al-Zadat A. Amilassan, and Ricky Chan K. Gubel.
On behalf of Roderick C. Awingan, Councilor Horacio Ramos Jr. and IPMR Richard Wacnisen, together with municipal staff, welcomed and assisted the delegates during their visit to the Mayor’s Office.
