The municipal government of La Trinidad awarded a β‚±100,000 cash incentive to 100-year-old Conchita Tangalin of Barangay Poblacion yesterday morning.

Mayor Roderick Awingan personally congratulated Tangalin for reaching this remarkable milestone. She is the first centenarian to receive the full incentive under Municipal Ordinance No. 9-2025, which grants β‚±100,000 to residents who reach the age of 100.

In addition, Municipal Ordinance No. 6-2024 provides cash incentives to other senior age groups: β‚±5,000 for septuagenarians (70-79), β‚±10,000 for octogenarians (80-89), and β‚±15,000 for nonagenarians (90-99).

Senior Citizens Affairs Coordinator Irineo Alfaro Jr. explained that the incentive program aims to recognize the contributions of senior citizens and encourage families to continue supporting the well-being of their elderly members.
