Acting on a recent viral social media post, this Office proceeded to the identified business shop and informed the involved party of their violation. As of this posting, apart from a stern warning, the violators have already settled their penalty, as stipulated in the Municipal Environmental Code.

Again, we wish to remind the public that hazardous waste must be managed with utmost caution, always practicing the "ridge to reef approach" – a strategy wherein hazardous wastes must be properly secured from waste generation to final disposal.

We ask the public to immediately report similar violations so we could promptly act on the matter.
