Mayor Roderick Awingan, along with other municipal mayors in Benguet, signed a Memorandum of Agreement to adopt GeoRiskPH, a multi-agency database and geospatial platform led by DOST-PHIVOLCS. The system provides local government units with data on natural hazards and climate-related risks, which will be used by La Trinidad planners and disaster risk reduction officers to improve local risk assessment, emergency management, and municipal planning.

Following the agreement, officials also signed a Deed of Donation for projects under the Community Empowerment through Science and Technology (CEST) and Local Grants-in-Aid (LGIA) programs. These projects were awarded to La Trinidad, as well as the municipalities of Buguias, Kapangan, Mankayan, Tublay, and Sablan, to support technology and innovation initiatives in these communities.
