Today, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) convened a Multi-Stakeholder Forum at the Strawberry Valley Hotel, reinforcing La Trinidad’s collective commitment to safeguarding children against exploitation and abuse.

The forum brought together youth leaders, educators, and Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC) focal persons, providing a vital platform to normalize essential conversations, strengthen awareness, and empower the community to serve as a proactive frontline for child protection.

The initiative emphasized a strategic shift from reactive responses to preventive action β€” equipping stakeholders with the knowledge to recognize, respond to, and report early warning signs of exploitation in both physical and digital environments.

By fostering transparency, vigilance, and shared responsibility, the Local Government Unit of La Trinidad underscores that protecting the welfare, dignity, and future of every child remains a non-negotiable priority.

The activity was supported by the La Trinidad LGU under the leadership of Mayor Roderick Awingan, with the participation of Atty. Francis Batnag from the Municipal Legal Office.
