GROWING BEYOND LIMIT: LA TRINIDAD LAUNCHES MSME WEEK

“MSMEs are the backbone of the economy and their success is our success.”
These were the encouraging words of municipal Administrator Atty. Franco Bawang Jr., representing Mayor Roderick Awingan, during the opening ceremonies of the La Trinidad Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (MSME) Week held at the municipal grounds today, July 31.
Centered on the theme, “Limitless La Trinidad: Growing Beyond Limit”, 23 emerging businesses are showcasing their best garden-fresh produce, aromatic coffee, and artisanal crafts.
Richard Limpin of DTI-Baguio Benguet, delivering Provincial Director Felicitas Bandonill’s message, emphasized that unlimited opportunities await our MSMEs when we work together.
The program also included a product blessing through Pastor Jones Padeo from Solid Rock Ministries Inc.
Later that day, Mayor Roderick Awingan and Councilor Teddy Walang toured the booths, personally congratulating the entrepreneurs and proudly purchasing an assortment of local items.
The trade fair will run until August 6, offering simultaneous skills training on resin art, no-bake cake, laser engraving, foot rug making, and coffee roasting, brewing and cupping sessions.
Additionally, a new One Town, One Product (OTOP) Hub will officially open at the Strawberry Valley Hotel on August 7.
The MSME Summit x GovConnect is set on August 20, and the event will conclude with a Fashion Show featuring handmade textiles and homegrown designers on August 30.
