IN PREPARATION FOR EL NIÑO

Mayor Roderick Awingan together with Municipal Engineer Benedict Pineda conducted a site inspection on October 16 at the Strawberry Farm particularly at the flood gates that need repair in preparation for the looming Super El Niño forecasted in the coming months. Farmers at the Strawberry Farm also met with the mayor to discuss possible remedy of the flood gates, which needs restoration, and is used to regulate the flow of water at the farm's canal. Earlier, personnel from the Benguet 1st District Engineering Office conducted dredging at the canal and at the Bolo Creek to declog the waterways.
