LA TRINIDAD OPENS TOURISM MONTH WITH OWIK TAN TAYAO

The valley’s Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representatives (IPMR) gathered today, October 2, at the municipal grounds to lead the opening of the Tourism Month celebration through the traditional Owik tan Tayao, a thanksgiving ritual.

Under the theme, “Digital Innovation for Smarter Tourism: Promoting the Best of La Trinidad,” the program highlighted the blend of indigenous heritage with innovative approaches to tourism promotion.

Mayor Roderick Awingan, Vice Mayor Guiller Galwan, and Sangguniang Bayan members Councilors Horacio Ramos Jr., Renato Tereng, Richard Wacnisen, Jayson Dangwa, Jonie Puroc, and Tyrone Diaz joined the tayao dance in full support of the festivities.
