LT ASKS BAPTC TO PROVIDE A CUTFLOWERS BAY

Mayor Roderick Awingan has asked the Benguet Agri Pinoy Trading Center (BAPTC) to provide an exclusive area inside the facility for the bulk selling, packing and loading of cutflowers.

Awingan told the BAPTC governing board during its meeting this afternoon that the move will boost the market for the valley's flower farmers.

The center's project management office considered the proposal but suggested that a feasibility study be first conducted.

Awingan said the LGU is more than willing to help conduct the study, a move lauded by Gov. Melchor Diclas who said that flower growers in the province could also join LT's farmers in the area.
