LT COOP MONTH: BPCU, MCDSO TRAIN MICRO & SMALL COOPERATIVES ON COOPERATIVE FUNDAMENTALS

BPCU and MCDSO sponsored a mandatory training on the fundamentals of cooperatives for micro and small cooperatives to help them meet compliance requirements for COC. The training aimed to provide participants with a solid foundation in cooperative principles and practices enabling them to better understand their responsibilities and obligations as cooperative officers and staff.

Resource Person, Felina Mercoles (BPCU Education Committee) led the discussion on the concepts and philosophy of cooperatives. The training also provided a venue for participants to clarify their understanding on coop principles and operational practices reinforcing the importance of applying the discussed concepts in their respective cooperatives.
