The Cooperative Development Authority recognized the municipality of La Trinidad as the national nominee of the region in the CDA Gawad Parangal 2026 during the Regional Cooperative Month Celebration Culmination in Tabuk City, Kalinga, today.

The capital town bested other municipalities in the region, highlighting its best practices, innovations, personnel competencies, budget allocation, and strong partnership with stakeholders.

Coop Officer Orlando Pacya and staff Mike Ulysses Padon represented Mayor Roderick Awingan in receiving the recognition from the CDA-CAR represented by Regional Director Atty. Katherine F. Ellorin, CESE.

Further, four primary cooperatives and one co-op union from the municipality were given the same distinction under micro, small, medium, and union categories.
