LT IN SAGADA FOR BUDGET CONVENTION

Four employees from the municipal government of La Trinidad attended the Regional Association of Local Budget Administrators (ALBA-CAR) Convention last January 28-30 in Sagada, Mountain Province.
The annual event revolved around the theme, “Stronger Together: Fostering Integrity, Resilience, and Mental Wellness Among Local Public Financial Management Practitioners”.
Imelda Grupo, La Trinidad Budget Officer led LT’s representatives in the three-day event at the Sagada Hotel.
Learning sessions comprised of the following topics:
• Values Strengthening, Reflection and Personal Renewal
• Strengthening Resilience and Mental Wellness for Effective PFM Practitioners
• Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Updates and Public Financial Management (PFM) Matters
• Procurement Planning and Updated Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP)
• Procurement Planning and Updated PPMP Form
• Building Team Synergy and Collaboration
• Economic Development Benchmarking
“Through compassionate public financing, resources are responsibly and transparently allocated for the locality’s benefit,” Jennelyn Anchong, Administrative Aide VI, shared.
Mayor Roderick Awingan highlighted the importance of growth in the workplace. “An important aspect of the local government is its workforce. Thus, capacity building and development is one effective strategy to enhance our employees’ competencies. So La Trinidad expresses its sincere appreciation to the municipality of Sagada, Mountain Province for hosting this year’s ALBA-CAR”.
