Centered on the theme, “God’s Word Brings LIFE (Love, Integrity, Faith, Engagement) to Our Hearts and Homes”, La Trinidad launched the Bible Week this morning, setting an inspired tone for the week’s festivities.

In his opening remarks, Mayor Roderick Awingan underscored the Bible’s relevance in the digital age.

He mentioned that for public servants, the Scripture serves as a solid rock and pillar of strength against the “ruthless arena” of social media for criticism and stress.

Vice Mayor Guiller Galwan led the Scripture readings, the highlight of the ceremony.

Rev. Father Joe Medina further encouraged the assembly, stating, “The Bible is not merely for information but for transformation. More than a sacred book, it is God’s loving instruction and our manual for life”.

The program emphasized that while the annual January celebration is significant, the true measure of success lies in its long-term impact on the community.

The activity concluded with a gesture of appreciation, distributing tokens to the Trinidad Evangelical Association of Ministers, La Trinidad Ecumenical Council of Churches, and organizing committee members.
