LT REPRESENTS CORDILLERA IN NATIONAL DISASTER RISK REDUCTION EVENT

The Local Government Unit of La Trinidad, Benguet, represented the Cordillera Administrative Region in a national disaster risk reduction event after being selected by the Department of Science and Technology.

Mayor Roderick Awingan presented the municipality’s disaster preparedness practices during the Empowering Local Leadership in Disaster Risk Reduction event held on October 28 at the SMX Convention Center in Clark, Pampanga.

He highlighted the importance of cooperation among government agencies, communities, and stakeholders in building safer and more resilient communities.

The event was part of the 2026 Handa Pilipinas: Agham at Teknolohiya para sa Ligtas at Matatag na Bayan, hosted by the Department of Science and Technology Central Office.
