Around 50 residents of La Trinidad were granted livelihood opportunities through the Kapartner App Program.
The initiative is a collaborative effort between the Local Government Unit (LGU) of La Trinidad, Smart Communications, and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
An awarding ceremony was conducted today at Lednicky Hall, where beneficiaries officially received SIM cards that they will use in starting their own businesses as mobile load retailers.
During the event, Municipal Administrator Atty. Franco Bawang, who represented Mayor Roderick Awingan, conveyed his appreciation to the organizers and partners behind the program. He likewise encouraged the beneficiaries to value, protect, and further improve the livelihood assistance entrusted to them so they can achieve long-term income opportunities.
The ceremony were also attended by Ms. Melanie Sahoy, MSWDO, DSWD representarives, Gilbert Palaganas, Luis Dontogan, and Darryl Emaguin, LTB Supervisor for the Kapartner App Program.
