Municipality of La Trinidad, Benguet

We are aware of a social media post threatening a possible shooting incident at certain schools in our Municipality. We understand the concern this has caused among students, parents, teachers, and the community.

The matter was reported to the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station and other law enforcement agencies.

We are taking these threats seriously, regardless of the subsequent claim that the post was intended as a prank. Authorities are verifying the circumstances and assessing any potential risk.

As a precaution, the school has suspended face-to-face classes and will shift to online or at-home learning while a campus security assessment is being conducted.

We urge everyone to follow official school advisories, avoid spreading unverified information, and report relevant information directly to the police.

The safety of our children and school personnel is our immediate priority. We will provide our next verified update the soonest if circumstances require.
