In a bid to elevate the experience of tourists at the municipality’s crowd drawing Strawberry Farm, the municipal local government led by Mayor Roderick Awingan together with the Tourism Office led by Valred Olsim, is partnering with the Korean Tourism Organization and the World Vision through Project Manager Wonki Oh for a P2.5 million-worth project at the Strawberry Farm.

Oh, with his staff, presented their project proposal on Sept. 29 to the municipal LGU and representatives of Benguet State University and Strawberry Farm business owners to iron-out the details of the four-month project which will start this November. The P2.5 million grant from World Vision through its implementing partner Korean Tourism Organization aims to conduct programs, projects and activities that will contribute to the improvement of the tourism experiences at the Strawberry Farm, which remains to be the premiere site for experiential tourism in the valley. Also present during the presentation are Councilor Belmer Elis, who is the chairman of the tourism committee, Municipal Agriculturist Nida Organo and Betag Barangay Captain Monalisa Comila.

More details of the project will be discussed by Oh during the La Trinidad Tourism Forum on October 5 at 9:30 a.m. at the Municipal Park as part of the weeklong La Trinidad Tourism month celebration.
