ORGANIC PESTICIDE FOR URBAN HOME GARDENING

A training on organic pesticide creation gathered 20 community members at the municipal gymnasium on August 18 and 19.

Resource person Ricky Chiok of the Municipal Agriculture Office lectured on Fermented Plant Juice Concoction (FPJ) and Fermented Fruit Juice (FFJ) and Calcium (Egg Shells) Preparation.

Meanwhile, Farm Aides Jonard Ceriaco and Filmore Abelao from Bahong Nursery demonstrated the preparation methods.

Mayor Roderick Awingan thanked the participants for choosing to expand their knowledge on a rainy day.

Capping off the event, participants travelled to Fred Fangonon’s Rooftop Urban Garden and Aerobic Compost System in Loakan, Baguio City where they toured the area.
