PROTECTING INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OF ENTREPRENEURS
Local entrepreneurs from the municipality took part in the training dubbed "Advancing innovation through intellectual property protection" led by MSME Focal Person and Municipal Cooperative Development Officer Orlando Pacya and his staff on September 9 at the Strawberry Valley Hotel and Restaurant.
Mayor Roderick Awingan challenged the entrepreneurs to take what they learned from the training as discussed by Jeanne Dugui-es Dangkeo, the Intellectual Property Rights Specialist II for the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) Baguio Satellite Office to improve their existing products or services or generate new ideas.
"The municipal LGU would be happy if you would succeed and see that you put into action what you have learned here, so that together we could achieve a limitless La Trinidad," Awingan said.
The participants were also given the step-by-step guide in intellectual property rights registration to secure their respective business brands.
