1 min read

The updating of the Strawberry Farm master development plan is on the works with Mayor Roderick Awingan and Benguet State University President Kenneth Laruan working together to revamp the plan.

Here, the duo conducted a site inspection at the Strawberry Farm on September 1, walking through the waterways and canals that drains toward the Bolo Creek, as well as the situation at the business stalls at the parking area.

The updated master plan, which shall encompass tourism, agriculture, and educational infrastructures, shall also include the proposed Strawberry Farm flooding interventions by the DPWH Central Office and DPWH-CAR which was emphasized during the recent visit of DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon, and the recent commitment of Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) Chief Operating Officer Mark Lapid on funding a cutting-edge agri-tourism information center at the town’s centerpiece that is the Strawberry Farm.
