SK OFFICIALS REVIEW PLANS FOR YOUTH EMPOWERMENT

The three-day review and updating of the Comprehensive Barangay Youth Development Plan (CBYDP) of the Sangguniang Kabataan in the municipality concluded last June 26.

With speakers coming from different partners, the activity focused on the ten centers of youth participation where participants, headed by Councilor Frederick Guzman, actively joined discussions on the issues and concerns confronting the youth.

The invited speakers and facilitators were key lecturers from Family Planning Organization of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Commission on Higher Education, and the local government unit of La Trinidad.

Mayor Roderick Awingan emphasized that the activity aimed to incorporate new policies and challenges of the municipality in the plans of the youth.

Further, Vice Mayor Guiller Galwan and Councilor Tyrone Diaz expressed their admiration for the strong drive of the young in making ripples of change in the municipality.

The La Trinidad Youth Development Office is tasked to monitor the development of the CBYDP and its implementation in the Barangays.
