Acting Mayor Guiller Galwan presided over the Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA) at the Lednicky Hall today, July 6, 2026, in preparation for Super Typhoon Inday (Bavi).

According to DOST-PAGASA, the super typhoon is projected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between tomorrow (July 7) evening and Wednesday (July 8 ) early morning, moving west northwestward.

While ST Inday is not expected to make direct landfall in La Trinidad, MDRRMO staff Felipe Esnara Jr. stressed that the public is still advised to remain alert and vigilant in anticipation of heavy rains brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

In line with this, all offices with scheduled activities for the week must notify and coordinate with the MDRRMO for guidance and weather monitoring.

During the briefing, heads of offices and line agency representatives provided updates on their state of readiness and emergency protocols.

Councilors Horacio Ramos Jr. and Tyrone Diaz were also in attendance to ensure collaboration between the executive and legislative bodies.
